Happy Mother`s Day - May 8, 2011

 It was a pleasant day. The weather was warm and a stray shower kept popping up, but all in all a nice day. I got to talk to my two granddaughters today on the phone. They live out of state so it was nice to talk to them on Mother`s Day. My daughter also sent me a wonderful bouquet of yellow, pink and red roses. 

Brought tears to my eyes when they were delivered. Its hard when you have family that lives far away. I don`t get to watch my grand daughters grow up. But I visit a few times a year. Either way they come here and we go there or both. Both of the girls are getting so big, I see pictures on Facebook and I get pictures in the mail of both of them.

Me, my husband and son spent the afternoon at my mothers` house for Mother`s Day. She always cooks up all kinds of food for everyone popping in during the day on Mother`s Day. I was able to get a picture with her today. My nephew Josh took it for me.

We don`t take many pictures, except on the holidays, but today being Mother`s Day, I wanted a recent picture with my Mom. She hates getting her picture taken but we finagled it out of her. She takes a nice picture and she doesn`t realize it.  

 Well the food was excellent, too much of it as usual. She always worries  that every one has enough to eat, and prepares enough for a king`s feast. 

Hopefully she enjoyed all her Mother`s Day gifts and spends the evening relaxing. Because like all the Moms I know she deserves to relax.
