New In The Shop

Haven`t posted since Feb. 14th, I can`t believe it. I have been so busy. Times gets away from me.

I have two new products in the shop that I`ve got to share with everyone.
One is a european green clay mask
and
 the other is
a light moisturizer. I`ve called it Dew Drop, it is nice and light on the skin, hence the name.
I just love both of these products!

I have been looking for a recipe for a moisturizer forever, that wasn`t heavy and greasy feeling.
While the search is over.

Dew Drop Daily Facial Moisturizer - Light Moisturizer - Two Ounce Cream

A light weight organic daily moisturizer for normal to oily skin tones.

This is perfect to use under makeup or at night as a protective base. This will not clog pores, and is extremely light due to organic aloe vera juice base.

Also added are Essential Oils of Tea Tree, Peppermint and Lemongrass. Tea tree contains an element called terpinen-4-ol that is thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's antimicrobial activity.

The health benefits of peppermint and lemongrass oil for the skin can be attributed to its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. It is used to treat various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations.

Also contains Pequi oil which is Caryocar braziliensis, it possesses a unique combination of essential fatty acids and is highly emollient, making it an effective moisturizer to heal dry and cracked skin, eczema and psoriasis.

Other beneficial ingredients are witch hazel, vitamin E oil, and grapefruit seed extract which is excellent for maturing skin types.

This has a wonderfully low pH balance between 4.0-4.5. This means it is low in alkalinity and
helps protect the skins mantel from bacteria that cause acne. Slightly acidic, this is perfect for protecting the skin, balancing the skin, and keeping out bacteria.

This wonderful light daily moisturizer is available in
an attractive blue glass vanity jar with a ribbed black cover in two ounces.

Priced at $16.00 for a two ounce container, you can`t go wrong. Have you priced moisturizers in the store lately?
I have provided a link for any one who may be interested.

Happy Valentines Day !!!

Happy Valentines Day To All !

"A single flow'r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose.
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet.
One perfect rose."

~ Dorothy Parker ~

Brief but to the point!
Remember life is short!
People should learn to forget anger and not to hold grudges, move on with life, enjoy it to the fullest
Our world has lost one of its truly glorious one~of~a~kind voices.
No one can ever match or even try to come close...
Our thoughts and prayers are with Whitney Houston`s family .
Especially her daughter and her mother.
She is leading the choir in heaven now and it must sound so glorious ...
God Bless...

This French Onion Soup Recipe is one of those recipes that gets instant recognition, whether by name, by sight or by taste. Even if you never had this as a homemade soup recipe, you have almost surely had it in a restaurant, or as a guest at a friend's place. Making it at home is easier than you would suspect. Not fast, but easy.

4 large sweet white onions, sliced about 1/4 inch thick
3-6 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
A large splash of olive oil
A pat of butter (optional)
1 Bay Leaf
A few sprigs of fresh thyme to taste

Salt and pepper to taste
1 and a half cups of white wine (optional)
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
4 cups beef stock or broth
4 cups chicken stock or broth (or use more beef stock for a stronger flavor)

Preparation

1. Heat olive oil and butter in soup pot on medium low heat.

2. Add onions, garlic, salt, pepper, bay leaf and thyme (tie sprigs together with a bit of butcher's twine)

3. Gently sautee onions and other ingredients, stirring every few minutes. This will take an hour or more, and then onions will eventually begin to turn a golden brown. They will also increase in sweetness. This part take patience. do NOT increase heat, because you don't want fried onions! These need to carmelize, which happens at a lower temperature than frying.

4. Once the onions have reached the desired golden brown color, add a quarter cup of white wine. Scrape off the bits on the bottom of the pot (this is called "deglazing"). Continue to sautée for 5 minutes.

5. Repeat step 4 for a total of 4 times.

6. Remove the sprigs of thyme.

7. Add the remaining half cup of white wine at once.

8. Add the Dijon mustard and stir in.

9. Add beef and chicken stock. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat.

10. Allow to simmer for a few minutes.

I would serve this with a nice garlic loaf or even cut a piece of garlic loave, sprinkle with your favorite cheese, lay onto the top of your soup bowl and microwave for 10 to 15 seconds to melt.
