HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ! !

Here at Au Naturelle its been quite a busy year.  All my hard work is finally starting to pay off. And I`ve got to say, it helps to offer a high quality all natural product with quick, reliable delivery. I`m just patting myself on the back of course.

Today I`d like to post a few all natural recipes that anyone can do themselves at home with very basic ingredients.
The first one is for a wonderful sugar scrub.

Almond Oil & Vanilla
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of almond oil
1/4 cup of liquid Ivory hand soap
1/4 tsp of vanilla

The second recipe is for a basic facial mask.
Frozen Egg, Honey and Coconut Mask

This honey mask is actually a gigantic frozen "chapstick" or honey-icicle, and is particularly soothing on a sunburnt skin
What do you need:
  • 1 tablespoon organic Honey
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Coconut oil
How to do it:
Whip the egg until you have a nice and smooth froth. Heat up the coconut oil until it melts, don't let it get hot. Slowly add the molten liquid coconut oil and honey to the whipped egg. Mix gently until you get a nice uniform cream
This is the tricky part; you will have to make sort of an enormous frozen "chapstick" from this mixture so you can easily apply it later. You can use a toilet roll that stands up right in a small bowl, pour and scoop the mixture in the roll. You could also use an empty deodorant stick or something alike that works for you. Put this in the freezer overnight
Take the stick out of the freezer and apply it to your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear
Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes
Then wash it off with a warm wet wash cloth and warm water, end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer, this way you "seal" your skin to keep the water inside
You can wrap the stick in plastic and put it back in the freezer for next time.

Give either one of these a try this winter! Both contain ingredients that you may have around your home.

I would like to wish all my friends, neighbors, family members, customers and blog followers a Happy And Healthy New Year.
Hope to see you all following along in the NEW YEAR!

Christmas Is Coming!

Christmas is coming!
And
Faster Then We Are All Prepared For.
It can get pretty stressful during the holiday season.
Here is a recipe for a great foot bath for those achy feet.
Winter weather wreaks havoc on tired neglected feet. (Like Mine!)
Why not give yourself a break with a foot bath!
The following recipe combines moisture with the coconut oil and relaxing salts blended with the tapioca starch which yields a dry end product that isn`t oily feeling to the touch.

8 oz. dead sea salt fine grain
8 oz. epsom salt
2 oz. or 2 cups tapioca starch
2 oz. fractionated coconut oil
10 ml peppermint essential oil

Add dead sea salts and epsom salts to tapioca starch. Mix ingredients throughly. Package in an air tight container.

Measure out into a warm water bath. Soak feet for 15 to 30 minutes, enjoy, once you`re done you`re back on your feet.  Use about 1/4 to 1/2 cup per foot bath.

Enjoy the holiday season with family and friends!
Try to keep your stress level to a minimum, count to ten, take a deep breath and smile a lot.
